A blog? How quaint…
But Who Doesn’t Love An Origin Story!
Welcome to Line Name Droopy…First why a Blog?, social media rules! Sure, and maybe you won’t like some of my posts, just flag and report it….exactly. Maybe it’s not that simple and there’s some overhead to this format but control of the content is greater. Myself a sometimes skeptic just thinking, it’s not like a social media platform has ever been taken over by a tyrant and manipulated for their own agenda….
With that covered, the spark that got me into Triathlons started as a kid watching ABC’s Wide World of Sports with my mother an avid sports fan. One weekend the Ironman Championships was on, I was old enough to understand the difficulty but didn’t really appreciate the distances being covered. Public race reports via blogs (shout out to Tribecca and others) was a popular way to detail the experience and to provide a review of sorts for others considering that race venue. In some ways it’s easier with social media to get that info but it’s not as persistent. For this year I’ll journalize monthly triathlon related topics sprinkled in with random musing. We’ll see how it goes, might delete later 😉

It’s been a long time, since…
Father’s Day Weekend Blog Kickoff?? I set this up weeks ago and no real entries so this is as good a time to start as any. Typical busy life, taking an online class that’ll probably roll into a certificate and then maybe a MSL so that’s my excuse. At any rate I had a couple…
Everyone starts somewhere.
Training Plan seems like a logical place to start. I’m going to get back to this I promise, ohh the irony….
